On Oct. 14, 2023 and April 8, 2024, the states will be treated to the last solar eclipses visible in in the continental U.S. until 2045. While current media coverage focuses on the 2024 total solar eclipse, the best viewing in Seattle will be for the October 2023 annular eclipse.
Join veteran astronomer and science educator Dennis Schatz to understand why and to learn how to make the most out of these celestial events, including where the eclipses will be visible, how to view them safely, what causes them, and why they are such rare events (or are they?).
Attendees will also get to take home a pair of eclipse viewing glasses!
Tickets are free with purchase of General Admission tickets for September 16. Reserve your tickets online!
