Snoqualmie Railroad Days is an annual festival held in August in Snoqualmie, WA. Originally organized by volunteer firefighters to celebrate the arrival of the town’s first Fire Truck in 1939, Railroad Days celebrates all things Trains, Timber, and Tradition.
This year the Grand Parade returns live and in-person on Saturday, August 28 at 11 am. The fun continues with: Steam locomotive demonstrations, local restaurants with Grab ‘n Go menus, a Plein Air Paintout with a special month-long treasure hunt, History Comes Alive – virtual and live presentations, Encompass “Kids Fun” handouts, and a variety of vendor booths (due to covid, there will not be food vendor booths). Stop by to say “hi” to the community’s police and fire departments. The fire department will have kids’ activities (hose prop) and emergency vehicle tours. On Saturday evening, enjoy a “Music Crawl” at local venues and on Sunday check out a new car show by the Roadsters Northwest on Sunday.
Visitors can also step back in time with the Northwest Railway Museum on a 90 minute train excursion that includes a stop at the top of Snoqualmie Falls – tickets are available online at: TrainMuseum.org.
