Solstice at the Farm returns! Celebrate the return of light on the darkest day of the year as Nature sighs and begins the trek towards lighter times and a new season. The Farrel-McWhirter Park Barnyard and trail will be festively adorned with lanterns and string lights as we take a moment to reflect on the season that is passing and the new season that is coming.
What to Know:
- This program begins after dark, consider bringing a flashlight.
- Please dress for the weather, this event runs rain or shine.
- This event is design for ages 12 and over. Activities will be geared towards older children and adults.
- Children under 12 years - old are not required to register. A childcare option will be available in the Farrel-McWhirter Preschool for ages 3 to 11.
This event is meant to bring communities and families together through the unity that art and music creates in tandem with the calmness and healing of nature. The price for this event supports Farrel-McWhirter Farm, the arts, and includes a cover charge for live music. Participants will also enjoy a charcuterie snack box, creating their own lantern of light, farm animal encounter, and a luminary trail of light and poetry.
