Summer Reading Kick Off - Federal Way

Build a Better World and Help Your Community

10am-4:30pm

Family program, all ages welcome with adult.

Celebrate the all-ages Summer Reading Program, Build a Better World, at the Federal Way Library! 

Register for the Summer Reading Program and enjoy some extra-special entertainment.

Bring a can of food to donate to the food drive. All donations will be delivered to the Multi-Service Center Food Bank. 

While at the library, make a lei filled with hygiene supplies for the homeless, 10am-1pm. 

Toiletries will be gathered into leis and distributed to people living without shelter in the Federal Way area.

Chinese Lion Dance

11-11:30am

Chinese Lion dancers will weave their way throughout the library. Kids can learn Chinese calligraphy and work on crafts.

Eric Haines, the One Man Band

11:30am-12:15pm

Enjoy the comedy and fun of Eric Haines, the One Man Band, singer, guitarist, banjo player, marionette puppeteer, unicyclist, juggler and stilt walker!

Foam Sword Battle

1-3pm

Presented by Chris Ewick.

For tweens and teens.

Be a hero in epic battles using foam medieval weapons. Kids and adults of all ages can play together in this exciting event using safe foam equipment with the referees from Foam Sword Parties.

Ukrainian-American Dance Club Performance

4-4:30pm

Enjoy traditional Ukrainian dancing.
