Join us at Tacoma Art Museum for a hands-on Tapete Making Workshop, where we’ll explore the vibrant tradition of creating Tapetes, or sand paintings, commonly seen during Día de los Muertos celebrations. Guided by skilled artists, participants will learn the history and cultural significance of Tapetes and get the chance to create their own intricate designs using colorful sand, rice, and other natural materials.
