2017 marks the 12th year of the Tasveer South Asian Film Festival (TSAFF). As in previous years, the festival seeks to entertain attendees while also engaging them in meaningful dialogue about issues of human rights and social/political/economic justice, particularly in the South Asian context. Over 45 films will be screened, from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and their diasporas worldwide. This year's focus country is Nepal, and the theme is #WeBelong. In addition to film screenings, TSAFF 2017 highlights include three gala celebrations, 30 filmmaker visits, youth and family events, a symposium at UW, and a 2-day Master film class with visiting Nepali filmmaker Subarna Thapa. Events and screenings will take place in Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Renton, and Bothell. Festival passes are now available at https://filmfreeway.com/festival/TSAFF/tickets. The full schedule and individual program tickets will be available in September.
