Tết in Seattle – Vietnamese Lunar New Year will take place February 3-4, 2024, at the Seattle Center Armory and Fisher Pavilion. The festival is part of the Seattle Center Festál series.
Since 1996, Tết in Seattle has celebrated the culture of Vietnamese and Vietnamese-Americans in the Pacific Northwest through art, food, music, and traditions. 2024 is the 28th annual festival and the Year of the Cat. There will be special-live performances, lion dances, local food vendors, art-exhibits, fashion show, hands-on activities for the kids, and family-oriented events for all to enjoy. In addition, there will be headline singers and an annual health fair that offers free screenings (blood pressure, diabetes, etc.) and other services.
2024 marks the Year of the Dragon, and this year's festival includes:
- Cultural Foods from Local Food Vendors
- Lion Dances, including Mak Fai Lion Dance, Gia Dinh Phat Tu Van Hanh Lion Dance, and Gia Dinh Phat Tu Lieu Quan Lion Dance
- Music and Performances, including headline singers Lưu Bích and Lê Toàn on Saturday, and Như Ý and Crystal Mai on Sunday
- Children's Hands-On Activities
- Family-oriented Events
- Fashion Show
- Art Exhibits
- Health Fair offering free screenings (blood pressure, diabetes, etc.), along with interpreter and immunization services.
