Tools for Success: Navigating the Social/Emotional Journey

Calendar/Event Details

Supporting our children involves caring for them completely: physically, spiritually, academically, and socially/emotionally. Join us as Bear Creek's Upper School Counselor Lauren Neely shares tips on navigating the social/emotional journey with your child.

Our discussion will focus on the social demands (friendship, social media, peer pressure, etc.) kids encounter during the various stages of development as well as how parents can support their children as they navigate their emotional lives.

Intended audience: families with children in preschool through grade 12

Lauren Neely is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has worked in several roles as counselor, mental health specialist, and para-educator. She supports our students by providing short-term, goal-oriented counseling services. Mrs. Neely helps Upper School students with stress, time management, social struggles, anxiety, and coping strategies, in addition to connecting students and parents to outside resources. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University.

Tools for Success is a seminar series at which Bear Creek faculty will speak on a variety of parenting and academic topics. These sessions focus on subjects ranging from preschool to college planning. You are invited to attend any or all events.
