Learn how students gain an understanding of who they are, which pursuits bring them joy, and what they can offer to colleges by maximizing academic and extra-curricular activities offered at Bear Creek.
Attendees will also hear from a panel of alumni on the impact of a Bear Creek education. There will be time for Q&A.
Intended audience: parents and students in grades 5 through 12.
Colleen Murray, Dean of College and Academic Advising, has an extensive background in college and academic advising having served more than two decades in education. She holds a B.A. Psychology and M.S. Counseling, and Pupil Personnel Services Credential from San Diego State University, as well as college counseling certificates from University of California at San Diego and Harvard Institute on College Admissions.
Upper School Dean of Students Kevin Davison's bread is theology buttered with a heavy dose of philosophy, and, consequently, he will happily engage in discussion for extended periods of time. Mr. Davison holds a B.A. Pastoral Ministries from Northwest College and an M.A. Theology and Biblical Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Emily Schuldt, Dean of Academic Advising, loves talking with students and parents about their journeys through the Upper School years and giving guidance for meeting their goals in the years beyond. Mrs. Schuldt holds a B.A. International Studies from Whitworth University.
Tools for Success is a seminar series at which Bear Creek faculty and staff speak on a variety of parenting and academic topics. These sessions focus on subjects ranging from preschool to college planning. You are invited to attend any or all events.
