Usher in the holiday season in downtown Seattle with the annual tree lighting and carousel.
The seasonal sights and sounds will begin around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24, with the lighting of the Westlake holiday tree and the Macy’s shining holiday star, followed by a festive fireworks display lighting up the downtown sky.
Our iconic holiday carousel in Westlake Park whirls into action for its 30th year. The carousel features 18 colorful horses, a double chariot and hundreds of twinkling energy-efficient LED lights. The suggested donation to ride the carousel is $3. Proceeds will benefit Treehouse, a local nonprofit organization helping provide foster kids a childhood and a future.
