About the Legacy Art Exhibit:
- Duration: The exhibit will run throughout the month of February 2025, beginning on February 1st after our grand opening.
- Hours: Monday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Closed on Sundays.
- Admission: The exhibit is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome to support WSBLI’s mission of preserving and celebrating Black heritage.
What to Expect:
The Legacy Art Exhibit is a powerful celebration of Black resilience, innovation, and contributions to Washington State. Highlights include:
- Art pieces curated from the Black Heritage Society and Living Art Culture Heritage collections.
- Stunning works by renowned artist Dionne Bonner, whose pieces beautifully capture stories of Black history and identity.
- Exhibits featuring the inspiring narratives of the Roslyn Northwest Black Pioneers and the Washington State Buffalo Soldiers, offering a glimpse into the lives and legacies of these trailblazers.
This exhibit is designed to educate, inspire, and honor the remarkable stories that continue to shape our community today.
