An all ages, all are welcome event to celebrate peace, kindness, and service in the spirt of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The Young People’s March for Peace and Kindness, on Monday, January 16th, provides an opportunity to practice service in the spirit of MLK Day. Children of all ages, their families, and community members, are invited to gather for letter writing between 10:30-11:15 in the Commodore Commons (pit parking lot, 9530 High School Rd.) Join us or work at home to write a letter to a leader asking them to work for peace or thanking them for the work they are already doing. At 11:15, we will march together to the Winslow post office to mail our letters. Bring signs, banners, friends, and your own stamps. Addresses and inspiration provided.
