Mark your calendars, people: The smash Broadway hit "Hamilton" will play at Seattle's Paramount Theatre from Feb. 6–March 18, 2018.
But you've got to act now, Hamil-fans! You have until Thursday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. to register through Ticketmaster's Verified Fan program for the chance to buy "Hamilton" tickets when they go on sale Monday, Nov. 6, at 9 a.m. The Verified Fan program issues purchase codes to pre-registered Ticketmaster users and prevents bots and scalpers from purchasing tickets.
Registering through Verified Fan does not guarantee you'll get the purchase code (boooo!) and even if you do, you can purchase only up to four tickets, which will cost $69–$179 each.
For those hiding under a rock the past few years, "Hamilton" is composer Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical story of U.S. founding father Alexander Hamilton. Alexander Hamilton was George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and became the country's first Treasury Secretary. The show features an ultra-popular score combining hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap and R&B and showcases a period of our nation's history in a new accessible format for legions of fans of all ages.
If you register through Verified Fan and don't receive the access code, you can line up at The Paramount Theatre, at 911 Pine St., where a limited number of tickets will go on sale on Monday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m. You'll probably want to line up early.
Or if all else fails, you can pin your hopes on a lottery that will award the chance to buy $10 Orchestra seats — 40 of these will be sold for each performance. Details on the lottery will be announced later.
