And what is this little thing?
These cuties are called agoutis! Who knew? Agoutis are a South American rodent and two little red-rumped agouti pups were born at Woodland Park Zoo on March 18. When they're a month old, animal care keepers will determine their sex. In the meantime, they're nursing with their mom Nutella and snacking on leafy greens and rodent food. Full-grown agoutis can weigh between 4.5 and 13 pounds, and reach a length of between 19 and 27 inches.
Once the zoo reopens, visit the agoutis in the Tropical Rain Forest exhibit.
