When I first saw a picture of mom Page Miller, decked out in a “Pregnant AF” tee, sporting a messy bun and sitting on the floor of Target sharing cheese puffs with her 4-year-old daughter, Avery, I knew we shared something special — a deep and abiding love for Target.
Where else can you feed your family, clothe your kids, decorate your house and get your Starbucks fix in a single trip? Today, for instance, I visited Target for the second time in 24 hours. I made a run for school supplies last night, which resulted in an impulse purchase of a new planner and a tube of lipstick. This morning, I ran in to grab snack food for my kids and left with an outfit for my son.
But as much as many of us love Target, Miller took it to a whole other level. Enlisting the help of her friend Heather Pippin — owner of Inspired by a True Story Photography — Miller staged a very memorable maternity photo shoot right on the floor of her local Target.
To make the shoot as relatable as possible (and it totally was) Miller stuck with her the typical Target routine. She wore her “Pregnant AF” tee, grabbed a caffeine fix at the in-store Starbucks and took a stroll through their favorite parts of the store. The adorable duo made a stop in the toy section, did wheelies in the shopping cart and tried on a few pairs of shades.
Miller and her daughter also did a little preliminary window shopping for the newest member of their family, since they are waiting to be surprised by the baby's gender. Even though they don’t know the gender, they are certain about a name either way — boy or girl, their newest little love will be named Malin.
Although the shoot started out as just a fun idea the two came up, hoping to try something different from other maternity shoots, Pippin tells ParentMap she felt it had transformed into something more.
“[The baby] is Page’s rainbow baby...months back Page’s 3-month-old son, Clarke, passed away from SIDS,” Pippin says. “It has turn into a positive way to show how tough of a mom Page is and to spread awareness to other people about SIDs.”
Congratulations to Miller and her sweet family. We can’t wait to see what your newborn shoot looks like!
