Published on: June 30, 2007

The FDA is warning consumers not to eat Veggie Booty snack food because of risk of Salmonella contamination. The popular snack is marketed by Robert’s American Gourmet.

If you have any Veggie Booty, throw it away immediately. If your child has eaten any recently, watch for signs of illness, including diarrhea, cramps and fever.

There have been 52 reports of illness across 17 states, including four in Washington. Most cases have been in toddlers.

Robert's American Gourmet, of Sea Cliff, N.Y., has stopped making and distributing Veggie Booty.
