Tomorrow's debate - play VP bingo!

Published on: December 30, 2013

I am clawing through this too-busy week with one shining bright spot on the horizon: Thursday night's Vice-presidential debate! Could anything come close for sheer nerve-wracking entertainment? A gaggle of my mom-friends will be coming over for a little drinky-poo as we watch the candidates...ah....verbally spar, or at least attempt vastly-anticipated and hard-fought triumphs over personal bugaboos. I'll say no more. I believe we said it all in our October issue and we are enjoying some lively reader reactions (feel free to weigh in; we'll print as many as we have space for).

Anyhoo, we've been debating whether to have a dress code for our little viewing party (perhaps just a "hair code," if you know what I mean) but something just crossed my desk that makes the party even more fun. MomsRising has created downloadable Bingo cards, so you can keep track of where each candidate stands on issues that are important to moms and families. Give Palin and Biden points each time they talk about these issues - and see for yourself who's better for moms on the issues!

Oh - and don't forget tonight's gubernatorial debate, in case you didn't get enough of that last week. I don't know if I can handle all of this fun. My children eye me suspiciously these days whenever I go near the remote; they're worried that I'm about to once again monopolize the TV and go on one of "mommy's rants."
