Printmaking can be simple and easy. Learn to make fabulous gifts on paper and cloth using potatoes, yams and/or sweet potatoes from your garden or local market. Each participant will learn all the printmaking steps to duplicate this simple and cheap print-making process at home. The class will consist of a lecture, hands-on demonstration and ample time to print and create. By the end of the workshop each participant will have created and designed a tea towel that they will have printed themselves. Participants are encouraged to bring additional items of their own to print on if time allows. The class fee includes one tea towel, inks and potatoes for carving and printing. This is an introductory class; all levels and ages are welcome.
