The “rambunctious sextet” (The Washington Post), known for their lively renditions of Renaissance tunes, presents a brand new program featuring songs and consort music from the plays of William Shakespeare. The Baltimore Consort instrumentalists play sparkling arrangements of Shakespeare’s tunes on lute, cittern, viols, and flute. Ethereal soprano Danielle Svonavec performs some of the greatest hits from the Bard’s songbook, including It was a Lover and his Lass and Full Fathom Five.
“[The Baltimore Consort] offers a lively, eclectic mix of early music on instruments that tickle the fancy, intrigue the eye and please the ear.” -Mobile Press Register
