MAKE-A-WISH® ALASKA AND WASHINGTON TO HOST WALK FOR WISHES®

On Sept. 10, about 1,000 people will celebrate and support children like Jonathan, a six-year-old boy with chronic myeloid leukemia, at the annual Walk For Wishes 5K. Jonathan and his parents went to New York City for his wish and will share the story of their journey and how Make-A-Wish has impacted their lives. Come and join the fun!
Walk For Wishes is a family-friendly event that brings wish recipients and their families, volunteers, staff, and members of the community together to raise critical funds for and awareness of our mission.
Details:
• 8:45 a.m.: Participant registration and kids activities, including face painting, a petting zoo, and more.
• 9:30 a.m.: Opening ceremony, including a speech made by Jonathan’s family, aerobic warm-up, ribbon cutting. The Walk will immediately follow.
• 11 a.m.: Closing ceremony, entertainment and snacks.
