A planting celebration will be held in Seattle on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 10 AM at Jefferson Park, with the trees being planted by children from Plant for the Planet — a worldwide kid-run organization of 8 to 14 year-olds interested in tree planting, keeping fossil fuels in the ground, and fighting poverty through climate justice.
The planting celebration will take place in a garden near the Jefferson Park playground (3801 Beacon Ave S; near the corner of Beacon Ave S and S Spokane St).
The best place to park when attending this event is at the Jefferson Community Center parking lot at 3801 Beacon Ave S, Seattle, WA 98108. Then walk north to where the crowd has gathered near the bermed garden. See you there!
