***Granola Bars, French Toast, Zesty Bean Dip, Paninis & Tomato Soup, Parmesan Chicken Fingers, Chocolate Mousse!! YUM!! This is just a sampling of the roughly 15 healthy recipes your little chef will make over February Break! ***

This is a wonderful program that will lay the foundation for healthy eating by educating and empowering students about basic kitchen safety, creating a healthy balanced plate, how to substitute ingredients to make meals healthier and so much more!

The first 15-20 minutes of each class is dedicated to nutrition education including games and activities. The remaining time is dedicated to cooking and cleanup. We will make approximately 5 recipes each class, and all produce, dairy, and meat will be organic whenever possible.

Our Core Cooking Program Includes:

Class 1: Fueling Your Body: Healthy Snacks & Breakfast
Class 2: MyPlate Nutrition: Creating a Balanced Lunch Plate
Class 3: Kitchen Safety/Cross Contamination & Healthy Cooking Substitutions: Kids Favorite Dinner Foods & Dessert

Activity sheets, recipes, helpful tips and individual workstations for hands-on activity are included in the course.

Classes will be held once a day for 3 hours on Tuesday, February 21st - Thursday, February 23rd from 9:30am-12:30pm at The Phinney Center. (The Phinney Center was closed Monday, February 20th for the holiday.)
