The Alliance for Education’s annual Convening Seattle Community Luncheon gathers the Seattle community to raise funds and increase awareness of pressing educational issues facing Seattle students, families and educators. This year’s key conversation is on providing immediate, basic needs for students that fall outside of a traditional school budget, and how our community can seek additional alignment in giving Seattle Public Schools the resources they need to thrive.
The program will be emceed by TV & radio personality Terry Holliman and include opening remarks from Dr. Brent Jones, Superintendent of Seattle Public Schools followed by a panel of community leaders including:
- Alesha Washington — President and CEO, Seattle Foundation
- Alice Shobe— Global Director of Amazon in the Community, Amazon
- Rocky Torres— Associate Superintendent, Seattle Public Schools
