Gardeners of the Ballard P-Patch invite art lovers, treasure hunters, pie enthusiasts, and friends of all ages to enjoy their 16th annual Art in the Garden event Saturday, July 29 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The garden is on the way to Golden Gardens park: 8527 25th Ave NW. Admission is free.
Follow your nose to sausages on the grill, and keep your ears open for live music on the stage powered by Carter Subaru. Once you arrive, be sure to notice all the garden art (including gnomes!) and one of the newest Henry murals in town, created as part of Art in the Garden festivities last year.
The longstanding event has become a local favorite, with all the traditional features scheduled this year: local artists’ booths, kids’ activities, live music, pie auction and bake sale, silent auction, and a beer garden serving up suds from Maritime Pacific Brewing Company. There will also be a food truck with vegetarian options, as well as ice cream for sale.
Founded in 1979, the Ballard P-Patch is one of the oldest in the Seattle P-Patch program, and the Art in the Garden is their sole yearly fundraising event. Proceeds support the group’s Giving Garden for the Ballard Food Bank, as well as ongoing efforts to improve the garden and maintain it for the neighborhood community.
