Join us for a fun afternoon of storytelling and movement led by Julia Izumi and Alyza Del-Pan Monley. This workshop is created in collaboration with ArtsWest and inspired by the characters and godscapes in Julia’s play miku, and the gods.
Have you ever wondered what a god wants? Is it to taste a scone? To tell a joke? To fly to the moon? To collect every glass bottle on every shore on every beach everywhere? Through free-writes and dance experiments, we will explore our own unique stories and summon the gods inside of us to bring them to life.
This workshop is for all ages. Participants ages 8 or younger, please bring an adult buddy. Bring clothing and footwear that you feel comfortable moving around in.
Catch miku, and the gods. at ArtsWest from June 16 to July 3, 2022!
