Black History Month film showing: ‘Agents of Change’

Calendar/Event Details

Agents of Change: How militant student protests won Ethnic Studies and affirmative action in the 1960s

A timely and inspiring look at how Black students led courageous strikes and occupations at San Francisco State University and Cornell University. Their demands for Black and Ethnic Studies, affirmative action in admissions and hiring, and an end to race discrimination laid the basis for a multi-racial coalition. But the far-reaching changes they won need to be fought for again today. The one-hour film will be followed by a discussion.
