Calendar/Event Details

A Bonsai Solstice: Small trees offer quiet magic in the spirit of the season

A community favorite! On December 21, Pacific Bonsai Museum illuminates its world-renowned bonsai collection with soft holiday lights for its 6th annual A Bonsai Solstice.  Visitors are invited to take an evening stroll to enjoy the bonsai and then to stay to enjoy local talents, treats, and community.

Live acoustic music from acclaimed local guitarist Leon Christian will add to the magical atmosphere.

Local poet Alexandria Maureen Beget-Manalo will write complimentary, custom poems for visitors to keep or give as gifts.

Hot cocoa and coffee will be served compliments of local roasters Caffé D’Arte. Warm and light bites will be available for purchase.

Visitors are encouraged to BYOF (Bring-Your-Own-Flashlight) to explore and discover the beauty of the bonsai by night.

Open to the whole community; kid- and family-friendly.

Admission to the event and the Museum is free. (Donations to support the museum are always appreciated). For those who would like to take home a memento, commemorative mugs will be available with a $10 donation to support the care of the collection.
