You’ve been spending time volunteering at a local animal shelter and are starting to learn the ropes. You have become a pro at walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes, and organizing donations. Unfortunately, the secretary of the animal shelter has gone on vacation for the week and left all the adoption applications locked in a box! The applications specify which pets are about to be saved and go to a loving home. If we don’t unlock the box before closing time, the animals won’t be able to go to their new owners! Can you open the box so the animals can find their forever homes? This is a kid-friendly version of a “breakout” or escape room” game using STEM skills.
