Join us at NOVA for a FREE presentation where Space Between, a non-profit from Seattle, will present on Bringing Mindfulness Home.
About the presentation: Mindfulness simply means paying attention with what's happening right now with compassion and curiosity (so we can choose what happens next)! Being a parent/guardian is amazing and also can be extremely stressful, especially when combined with the many demands, our feelings about the past, and our worries about the future and our children. Mindfulness is one set of tools and practices that enable us to cope with stress, respond with compassion, and stay connected to our children. Presentation will include experiential mindfulness practices for adults (that may be used with children), research on mindfulness and the teen brain, community connection and discussion.
