Join us for a spectacular celebration of Diwali, Hanukkah, and the season of Christmas!
We, the people of greater seattle area, are coming together to celebrate Diwali & Hanukkah, the festivals of light, in presence of our friends from the Hindu diaspora, Jewish Community, Christian communities, and peoples from their ethnic backgrounds and cultures.
This festive gathering in inspired by the dance and traditions of Garba & Dandiya and shall commence with a warm welcome by leaders across our communities.
Together, we will illuminate the event by lighting the Diwali Diyas and Hanukkah Candles, accompanied by the joyous sounds of Christmas. We will celebrate triumph of Good over Evil and celebrate our shared love and joy!
We invite friends and family from Hindu & Indian diaspora, Jewish community, and Christian community and all peoples of diverse backgrounds.
Program Outline:
* 5-7PM Garba (Garba is a traditional Indian dance. All are welcome to join!)
* 7-8PM Diwali & Hanukkah Celebration with Dinner, Light Diyas, Hanukkah Candles, Celebration cheers by leaders, speech by the Chief Guests
* 8-10 Dandiya & Garba by all community members (Dandiya is another traditional Indian dance, open to everyone!)
