Eco Fridays at Bellevue Parks

Calendar/Event Details

Hosted by Bellevue Parks & Community Services, Eco Fridays are community volunteer projects hosted at various park sites throughout the city. These events provide a unique opportunity for businesses, groups, families, and individuals to participate in the stewardship and care of Bellevue's Parks & Open Space System.

Volunteers plant trees and shrubs, renovate hiking trails, and remove noxious weeds in Bellevue parks. Volunteers can sign up as a group or individually; drop-in and unregistered guests will not be able to participate. Each child under 12 must be accompanied by an adult (i.e., 1:1 ratio) and youth cannot be left unattended with city staff when the project ends. All volunteers must sign (or have signed by their parent or legal guardian) a liability waiver. High school students age 14+ may attend volunteer projects unaccompanied, provided they bring appropriate paperwork signed by a parent or legal guardian and have preregistered.

Please bring sturdy shoes or boots, work gloves, water, layers of comfortable clothing, long pants, and rain gear (if necessary). Projects will be held rain or shine but may be cancelled if severe weather conditions are forecasted.
