¡Hola Cine! Short Films with the Grand Cinema

Calendar/Event Details

All Together Now! Celebrate Summer Reading at the Moore Library with a community matinee of ¡Hola Cine! a collection of Spanish language English subtitled short films from the New York International Children’s Film Festival.

While you’re there, be sure to create a Muñeca Quitapena, a Worry Doll, and a small cardboard home! Worry dolls are small, hand-made dolls that originate from Guatemala. Children tell their worries to the dolls, placing them under their pillow or in a hand-made home at night. By morning the dolls have gifted them with the wisdom and knowledge to eliminate their worries.

Enjoy the film and your craft with a bag of freshly made popcorn, provided by The Grand.
