Huraiti Mana - A Month of Tahitian & Hula Dance Classes

Calendar/Event Details

Huraiti Mana is celebrating its first birthday! We've enjoyed a year of community, performance, culture, laughter, and shared stories. Join us in our celebration for the month of January (Wednesdays, January 10 - January 31) as we offer all of our dance classes at no cost.

This is a fun, relaxed way for young ones to explore various dance traditions and styles of the Pacific Islands, including hula (Hawaiian dance) and ori Tahiti (Tahitian dance). Dancers will discover new motor skills, feel the rhythm of drum beats, understand Native Hawaiian and Tahitian languages, learn about stories of the Pacific, and so much more! This is a great, creative movement activity and opportunity to learn more about our indigenous peoples, traditions, and values of Oceania. Culture is about encouragement and empowerment, and that is what we hope to share with you at Huraiti Mana.

We offer a Keiki/Tamari'i children class (5-11 years) from 5:30-6:30PM followed by a young adult/adult class (12+) from 6:30-7:30PM. All levels of experience are welcome. No experience necessary! Please register your dancer online prior to your first class. Or email us with questions!

E ha'amana ma ma'atou!
