Play to the podium at Kiddolympics on select Sundays this summer with Seattle Children’s Museum as we commemorate the Summer 2024 Paris Olympics! Alongside recreational community organizations, visitors will go for gold as they move their bodies, learn about world cultures and celebrate the significance of the Olympic Games.
Sunday, July 21 – Kiddolympics Opening Ceremonies
For our Kiddolympics Opening Ceremony on July 21, Seattle Bouldering Project and Seattle Gymnastics will be joining us. Visiting athletes can also create an Olympic Torch in our 2 p.m. Creative Corner, interact with Olympics-themed exhibit enhancements, test their knowledge of sports equipment and countries represented at the Paris Games, and move, explore, and create to play like the professionals!
Sunday, July 28 – Initial Heats
Events are heating up during week two of Kiddolympics! Seattle Gymnastics will join us for a day of Olympic-themed exhibit enhancements, putting visitor knowledge of sports equipment and Olympic teams to the test, and moving our bodies as we play like the professionals. During our 2 p.m. Silly Science, work to extract iron from cereal and learn all about the nutrition that fuels your favorite athletes and create a postcard to send to a medalist.
Sunday, Aug. 4 – Final Legs
The final legs of Kiddolympics are here! Seattle Gymnastics will join us for a day of Olympic-themed exhibit enhancements, putting visitor knowledge of sports equipment and Olympic teams to the test, and moving our bodies as we play like the professionals. During our 2 p.m. Silly Science, work to design and set sail floating boats, and design an Olympic uniform for your team and event of choice.
Sunday, Aug. 11 – Kiddolympics Closing Ceremonies
It’s time for our Kiddolympics Closing Ceremonies. Join Seattle Children’s Museum along with Girls on The Run and Seattle Boxing Club for a final week of Olympic-themed activities and exhibit enhancements. Make your own medal during our 2 p.m. Creative Corner, put your sports equipment and Olympic team knowledge to the test, and move your body through the museum to play like the professionals.
