Join us in celebrating The Runaway Dosa by Suma Subramaniam and Sejal Sinha Battles Superstorms by Maya Prasad!

Suma Subramaniam’s interests in writing for children are centered around STEM/STEAM related topics as well as India and Indian heritage. When she’s not recruiting by day or writing by night, she’s volunteering for We Need Diverse Books and SCBWI or blogging about children's books. Suma is the author of Namaste Is A Greeting, She Sang For India, and other books for children and young adults. Her poems have been published in Poetry Magazine. Maya Prasad is a South Asian American author, a Caltech graduate, and a former software engineer. She currently resides in the Pacific Northwest, where she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and raising her budding bookworm kiddo. She’s passionate about creating joyful representation for kids and teens.

Her debut novel Drizzle, Dreams, and Lovestruck Things is a Children’s Book Council Young Adult Favorite of 2023. She’s also the author of Sejal Sinha Battles Superstorms, the first in a STEM chapter book series. Her short fiction has been published in Foreshadow: Stories to Celebrate the Magic of Reading and Writing YA, Cast of Wonders, and Voyage YA.
