Scarecrow Video and Maple Leaf Community Council are thrilled to announce the return of MOVIES BY THE TOWER, a series of free outdoor film screenings at Maple Leaf Reservoir Park. This year our theme is... Women (and Girls) Saving the Day!
Enter the timeless world of Madeleine L’Engle with Ava DuVerny’s adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time (August 10), starring Storm Reid as Meg. If that wasn’t Kenough, we’re showing Greta Gerwig’s Barbie (August 17) with Margot Robbie as (who else?) Barbie. We close with Penny Marshall’s A League of Their Own (August 24), starring Geena Davis and Lori Petty as sisters Dottie and Kit.
Bring your own low-back chairs, pillows, and blankets, and join us under the stars for three nights of Movies by the Tower!
These screenings are funded in part by a smART Venture grant from the City of Seattle Office of Arts and Culture.
