On any day of the year you’ll find all sorts of holidays and observances that are being celebrated across the world. Join us at the Children’s Museum of Tacoma for Museum Fun Days as we celebrate some of the more whimsical holidays by layering a silly invitation into your playful experience!
Read Across America Day | March 2 – 6
This holiday celebrates our ability to learn and grow through reading and was established to get children excited about reading! Become an author and illustrator and tell your story at the Children’s Museum of Tacoma. We will have storytelling dice, paper, staplers, book templates, markers, pencils and more available in the Art Studio from March 2nd to 6th to make reading a more fun and interactive experience for children of all ages.
First Day of Spring | March 16 – 20
Spring will have officially sprung on March 20, and you can celebrate the coming of a new season at the Museum! Visitors are invited to think about the flowers and trees that are beginning to bloom and put the images in their minds to paper using cotton swabs, tempera paint, paper, and brown markers.
Museum Fun Days will continue at the Children’s Museum of Tacoma each month, so be sure to follow our Facebook and Instagram accounts for a heads up about these offerings.
