As children hit milestone ages (at 1 year, 2 years old, etc.) we expect certain developmental milestones to be met. Does that same expectation fit with preemie & NICU children? What do we do when we have concerns about development in the areas of growth, cognitive & psychological function, learning issues, behavior, etc.?
Join us as we discuss this topic with Dr. Kendell German, MD, a Pediatrician with special training in Neonatology and Child Development with the University of Washington. Dr. German's work focuses on the assessment and management of developmental problems in children, she is particularly interested in Neonatal Neuroscience and long-term outcomes.
Dr. German will speak with us about general d...evelopment in our preemies & NICU children and answer any questions you bring. She will give us an overview of the UW’s Infant Development Follow-Up Clinic (formerly the High Risk Infant Clinic) as well as a brand new UW clinic, the Late and Moderate Preterm Babies (LAMBs) Clinic! We hope you will join us for this wonderful opportunity to meet with Dr. German!
