Welcome to Orca Month!
Unfortunately, our orcas are in troubled waters. Scientists think that Puget Sound’s Southern resident orcas are the most polluted marine mammals in the world, causing a host of health problems. With only 78 individuals left, we need to do everything we can to ensure that our orcas are healthy.
Join us on June 28th for Our Toxic Orcas to learn more about the impacts that pollution is having on orcas, where this pollution is coming from, and what you can do to help prevent toxics from reaching these endangered orcas.

Through this work, Dr. Wasser has shed light on the toxics affecting our orcas. We will also explore where these toxics are coming from and discuss changes that everyone can make to reduce the amount of pollution reaching our orcas.
Nancy Uding from Toxic-Free Future will talk about where toxics are coming from and about some simple steps everyone can take to reduce the amount of pollution reaching our orcas.
