Parent University is an annual parent and guardian education series for the entire Seattle community. Parent University offers virtual seminars throughout the year and a half-day, in-person conference on The Bush School campus. Each Parent University lecture features a relevant topic about raising children in today’s society. Previous topics have included childhood anxiety, citizenship, parenting to embrace diversity, equity and inclusion, learning differences, and digital safety. Childcare is available for those attending Parent University.
This year's conference is headlined by keynote speaker Dan Lerner, a leading expert on happiness and success, and the importance of fostering a positive mindset in your child.
The half-day event will offer parents and guardians an opportunity to learn from one another with community conversations and glean from a handful of speakers covering relevant and timely topics such as civic engagement and how to deal with conflict, communicating with your teen, and health and wellbeing.
