Matilda Jr. tells the story of an extraordinary little girl with extraordinary powers. Matilda always stands up for what's right, even if it means sometimes being “a little bit naughty.” Matilda’s school is reigned by the mean headmistress Miss Trunchbull, who loves to punish Matilda and the other “revolting children.” Luckily, Matilda finds a friend in her teacher, the sweet Miss Honey. Matilda uses her cleverness and a little bit of magic to prove that even someone small can have a big impact.
Based on Roald Dahl's beloved novel, the show teaches us that whatever challenges we may face, we have the capability to persevere, grow, and discover our untapped potential so long as we lead with love, light, kindness, and empathy.
