We and our shelter partner, Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC), welcome younger kids and their guardians into the cat lounge on the first Saturday of every month (11 a.m. session). We educate families with young kids on strategies to encourage safe interaction with cats, and how to create a comfortable living environment with younger children and cats. This is the only time when there's no age restriction in the cat lounge!
Seattle Meowtropolitan employees and RASKC volunteers will help families meet the cats in the cat lounge.
We have a limit of 2 kids per adult guardian to ensure everyone gets some individual attention and gets comfortable being around the cats. At least 1 adult guardian must accompany 2 kids.
You must book in advance! This event does sell out.
$12 per person. Each participant must have their own ticket (1 adult + 2 kids = 3 tickets). Drinks not included.
