Join IslandWood and King County at Lincoln Park for a day at the beach! This place isn’t just one we visit for relaxation; humans are an important part of the ecosystem too! Bring your curiosity and get ready to use art and science to explore the world of water: how we impact it, how we clean it, and what each of us can do to protect it. Space and materials are limited. Please pre-register to reserve your spot to this free event.
Adult participation is expected. We want families to learn and work together! Although this event is recommended for families with youth ages 6-12, we are open to all ages. Please make a decision about your child’s ability to participate based on the following information: This event involves walking in sand, on or around driftwood and logs, drawing and writing, looking at identification guides, using microscopes and exploring safely near water. Be sure to dress for the weather as this event will be entirely outside. Shoes that can get wet and sandy are encouraged!
