Professor and Curator of the Arthropod Museum Emeritus from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM, David Richman has taught university classes in the identification of insects, general entomology, aquatic insects, immature insects and arachnology. He ran the outreach program for the Department of Entomology, Plant Pathology and Weed Science at NMSU to thousands of Pre-K-12 students every year. Dr. Richman is also a co-author of Spiders of North America, now in a 2nd edition.
Come on down for information on local spiders, venomous spiders, erroneous beliefs and ideas, and an introduction to the fascinating world of spiders. Feel free to bring spiders or photos for identification. Please handle with care so the spider can be returned to where it came from!
