Ready for the running of the squid!?!? Squid-a-Rama celebrates the return of the squid to our local waters with a whole series of activities including dissections, squid release, squid talk and story time, plus the awarding for our student art competition. The event will be held from 4–7 p.m. at the Des Moines Beach Park Dining Hall, 22030 Cliff Ave. S., Des Moines, WA 98198.
The Squid-A-Rama Student Art Competition, an annual event spearheaded by the Des Moines Arts Commission and held at the MaST Center Aquarium, aims to foster and honor the creative talents of our local young artists. The 12th annual Squid-a-Rama Elementary Art Competition display was created by local first–fifth grade students from North Hill Elementary. See the display at the MaST Center Aquarium for the month of November!
