WHAT:
Woodland Park Zoo invites guests to enjoy a StoryWalk® this spring at the Family Farm. Come on a journey with Sonya, a young girl who lives on a farm, as she learns how to coexist with carnivores that live nearby. From February 17 to April 16, guests will discover the book’s pages displayed across 17 sign boards in English, braille, and a scannable read-aloud so that children and adults can discover the story while strolling by the zoo’s domestic friends at the farm.
Sonya’s Chickens was written by Phoebe Wahl and has been adapted into a theater performance by The 5th Avenue Theatre. See the show at the zoo’s auditorium for free (with zoo membership or admissions ticket) during two special performances on Saturday, February 25, at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
