Love Poems for the Rest of Us with Meredith Arena (Online)
Oh, the love poem! So often love is taught to us as something external that we find in a “partner”, and if we do all the right things, we will be happy. Media often shows us romantic love, mostly between thin, able-bodied men and women who are conventionally attractive. But what about love for the rest of us? In this class, we will write unconventional love poems to, from, and for the rest of us, starting with the most important person we need to love – ourselves – hopefully bringing us closer to the meaning of love as we define it.
