Virtual: Becoming a Friend, Being a Friend

Calendar/Event Details

How can you support your child's friendship development? At home and at school?

What is your definition of a friend? What is your child's?

What is the difference between being a friend and being friendly?

How can you help your child manage conflict when things don't go as planned?

For some children it is easy to be a friend and to have a friend. For some children it is not so easy to do either one.

This talk will focus on how a young child develops relationships with other children and how you can support your child and these new relationships.

This will be a 30-minute talk with Q&A available afterward. This is a LIVE program; it is not recorded.

The registration fee is FREE.

We will meet on Zoom. This is a convenient way to meet. There is no commute, and you may not need a baby-sitter.

The talk will be facilitated by Jennifer Watanabe, a Child Behavior Consultant and Parent Coach who helps parents help their children. She is retired from Bellevue College in Washington state after 24 years of teaching hundreds of parents how to help their young children. She teaches/coaches in a respectful, non-judgmental, and encouraging way.
