Virtual: Refuge Day - Fall Edition

Calendar/Event Details

The Refuge Day series is geared towards BIPOC and features seasonal outdoor-focused activities, skills sharing, outdoor recreation workshops, and featured DJs spinning tracks.

This Refuge Day will explore public lands and how they inspire, influence, and create connections with an array of diverse folks.

We will be collaborating with The Wilderness Society at November's Refuge Day (virtual event) to share stories about BIPOC experiences on public lands. This partnership will bring about a new curriculum developed by The Wilderness Society and will help us to (re)introduce a project we've been working on called Public Lands UnEarthed. Public Lands UnEarthed is a storytelling project to document and share the experiences of BIPOC folks on public lands in Washington state. This project is intended to uplift the historical, present, and future experiences of BIPOC individuals in Washington.
