What makes a superhero super? How do you tell superheroes apart from everyone else? Consider these ideas as you explore this new Community Arts Exhibit! Local artist Alice Finch worked with Islander Middle School students in Julie Biggs’s Art II classes to craft culturally representative superhero LEGO® posters. Discover the superhero qualities in all of us as you view these colorful works of art.
And make sure to join us as we celebrate the students and their work at a free opening night party on Thursday, March 7, 5-6:30 pm.
This Community Arts Exhibit is brought to you by Mercer Island Parks & Recreation and the Mercer Island Arts Council in collaboration with Julie Biggs at Mercer Island School District and Alice Finch of Bippity Bricks. Learn more about exhibits at the Mercer Island Gallery and other Arts Council programs at www.mercergov.org/artscouncil.
